A Geelong man has fronted court facing a string of drug and weapons related offences after a bag full of guns was allegedly found on a Whittington street.
A Geelong man has fronted court facing a string of drug and weapons related offences after a bag full of guns was allegedly found on a Whittington street.
Alexander Aliani, 29, appeared in the Geelong Magistrates Court on Friday following his arrest the previous day.
Police were lead to an Alouette Ct home in Whittington on Thursday as part of an investigation into how a bag containing firearms was located in the southeast Geelong suburb.
Mr Aliani was taken into custody and charged with 32 offences.
These include trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs of dependence, trafficking and possessing drugs of dependence, possession of a trafficable quantity of firearms, being a prohibited person to possess firearms, and failing to answer bail.
The matter before Magistrate Kimberley Swadesir was adjourned until a later date.
Victoria Police on Friday confirmed the firearms were discovered “in a street in Whittington” last week.
