Man accused of $500,000 fraud faces Toowoomba court

TWO Toowoomba men are accused of defrauding their employer CJR Industries for almost half-a-million dollars.

FRAUD charges against a Toowoomba man alleged to involve up to almost half-a-million dollars have been mentioned again before the city's Magistrates Court.

Brett Maxwell Wrigley, 49, was not in court for the brief mention of the matter but his solicitor Chris Neville told the court he had received a partial police brief of evidence.

Mr Neville said his client's co-accused, Thomas David Masters, 50, was due to have similar charges mentioned before the same court on October 25 and asked that his client's matters be adjourned to the same day to link up with the co-accused.

The two accused men had worked for CJR Industries in Toowoomba at the time of the alleged fraud which police claim amounts to the order of $443,000.

Neither defendant has been required to enter any pleas to their respective charges of fraud as an employee and both remain on bail with strict conditions.

Magistrate Graham Lee acceded to Mr Neville's request and adjourned his client's case to October 25 to link up with the co-accused.
