Livestream: FNQ Rugby grand final tripleheader as JCU Mariners have eye on unique history (CDRL)

The JCU Mariners became the first team since 2015 to go through a season undefeated as Southside’s bold bid for a trio of titles fell short. Relive the grand final day action from our LIVESTREAM.

History could be made at the FNQ Rugby grand finals at Barlow Park on Saturday, and KommunityTV will bring you every second of the action.

JCU Mariners are just one win away from the first undefeated premiership in their history, as they strive to be the first FNQ Rugby A-grade side to do so since Mudcrabs in 2015.

It has been a phenomenal campaign for the Mariners, who boast one of the best attacking and defensive records in the country.

Standing in their way is Southside Crusaders, who proved in the qualifying final that they could more than match their adversaries.

Crusaders led with 10 minutes to go before two late penalties took JCU to the brink of history.

The Edmonton club has a team in all three grand finals, the only club to be in the position for a sweep this season.

In the women’s decider, just one try separated Southside and Wanderers in the qualifying final and the top two teams from 2022 will face off in the big one.

Wanderers have made their third straight grand final and are the defending premiers, though the Crusaders have proved to be a match.

Barron Trinity will kick off the action when the all-conquering Bulls, who have lost just once this year, face Southside.
