AS IT HAPPENED: Yuta Shitara and Rodah Tanui win Marathon

Yuta Shitara from Japan has won the men's race and Rodah Tanui from Kenya was first woman home in the Gold Coast Marathon.

Good morning Gold Coast. The big day is finally here for thousands of runners, who have travelled to the city from all over Australia and the world for the  41st running of the Gold Coast Marathon.

 

The action begins with the ASICS Half Marathon at 6am, followed by the Wheelchair 15km and Wheelchair Marathon at 7.15, before the main event at 7.20. To track how the runners are faring, check our live leaderboard HERE. You can also view the results of all the races HERE.
