Despite the lopsided scoreline, Kirwan coach Todd Wilson did not believe it reflected the true toughness of the contest.
“I guess the foundation of our game is defence, we build on our defensive work. We were disappointed with our defence last week. I am proud with the way the boys improved that but we have still got a long way to go with it,” Wilson said after the two teams last clashed.
“They threw plenty at us and I thought it was a really tough physical game.
“Apart from some lack of concentration with the ball around the middle, I thought our intent was really good. It was a great contest.”
