Some of the region’s most talented and agile junior gymnasts were out in force on Saturday morning at Geelong YMCA.
That group included 18-year-old star Asher Bayles who recently competed in Germany at an international competition, overcoming injury in the week leading up to finish 23rd overall at a senior level across vault, bars, beam and the floor.
“It was quite a big competition with more countries competing at high standards which was really cool to see,” Bayles said.
Meanwhile, Geelong YMCA is running two days of gymnastics camps over the school holidays, with two or four-hour sessions available with free play before structured gymnastic sessions.
