Ice 'N' Spice Toowoomba plans 11th birthday bash with belly dancing

A Toowoomba Indian restaurant which has taken out all manner of awards will celebrate 11 years with a special event this weekend.

An Indian restaurant voted Toowoomba’s best will celebrate their 11th birthday this weekend with great food, live music and belly dancing performances.

Family owned Ice ‘N’ Spice was crowned the Garden City’s best Indian restaurant earlier this year receiving 45 per cent of the votes.

Helmed by couple Jasvinder Jammu and Gurpreet Kaur, Ice ‘N” Spice use authentic spices and ingredients with the dishes including a variety of delicious curries all made from scratch in house.

“We make our food from the heart,” Mr Jammu said.

“We have been awarded the best restaurant award from The Chronicle for many years, and TripAdvisor as well.

“Best delivery restaurant, takeaway restaurant, dine-in restaurant — you can’t go better than this place in Toowoomba (for Indian).

“This is where we’ll be until we retire, because this is a family business started by locals.

“I want to say thank you to (locals) and the trust they’ve put in us.”

Located at 177A-179 Margaret St, birthday celebrations will kick off on Saturday with Bollywood live music from 5pm and belly dancing performances from 7pm.
