THE Darling Downs Zoo has a bit of a problem.
"The zoo's breeding program for baboons has been so successful that we have run out of ideas for names for babies," a zoo spokesperson said.
"Fourteen babies have been born since 2013 with the most recent birth, a baby girl, only last week.
"Mum's name is Cleopatra and dad's name is Rameses so an Egyptian name might be nice for this little one."
The spokesperson said another new baby was expected in the next few weeks from a different mum.
"We would appreciate your name ideas," the spokesperson said.
"You can see Cleopatra and her baby every day until 12pm. After 12pm they will need to rest for the remainder of the day but all of our other baby baboons will be able to entertain you."
A number of suggestions have already been made for the baby baboon including Renenet, the goddess of the future and prosperity, and Heba, meaning the gift of god.
If you have a suggestion let zoo staff know via their Facebook page at facebook.com/Darling.Downs.Zoo.
