A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a car on the Gold Coast overnight.
Emergency services were called to Seaworld Drive just after 10pm on Saturday, not long after the incident occurred.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the female patient was treated for “potentially life-threatening” head injuries and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.
The Queensland Police Service was contacted for comment – it’s unclear at this stage whether the incident is being investigated by officers.
Lauren Harvey, 41, suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain, and remains in Gold Coast University Hospital.
Ms Harvey was hit while at a pedestrian crossing near Hinze and Davenport streets – in the city’s legal precinct.
