New Year’s Eve disco party
When: 4pm to 8pm, Dec 31
Where: Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport
Details: Pack your picnic blanket for an afternoon and evening of live music, kids activities, food trucks, face painting and a fireworks show at 8pm. A free Gold Coast City Council event. More information here.
Seaworld Dr fireworks
When: 8pm and midnight, Dec 31
Where: Seaworld Dr, Main Beach
Details: Outdoor public fireworks display
Palm Beach fireworks
When: 8pm, Dec 31
Where: 1505 Gold Coast Hwy
Details: Outdoor public fireworks display
Coomera Community NYE Fireworks Event
When: 5pm to 9pm, Dec 31
Where: Viney Park, 1 Yaun Street, Coomera
Details: This is a free, family-friendly event.
Expect food vans, amusement rides, sideshow alley, live kids entertainment, live music entertainment and fireworks at 9pm.

Details: Public outdoor fireworks display
New Year’s Eve by the Lake
When: 5.30pm to 8.30pm, Dec 31
Where: Varsity Promenade (Lakefront Stage), 240 Varsity Parade, Varsity Lakes
Details: Enjoy live music, food trucks and kids activities set against the backdrop of the stunning Lake Orr.
There will be a fireworks finale at 8.30pm.
This free event is supported by Division 11 Councillor Hermann Vorster.
Harley Park New Year’s Eve
When: 5.30pm to 9.30pm, Dec 31
Where: Harley Park, 376 Marine Parade, Labrador
Details: Sponsored by Charis Seafood, get ready for a jam-packed night of live music from local bands, children’s rides and activities, roving performers and food trucks.
A fireworks finale will take place at 9pm.
This free event is supported by Councillor Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden.
Paradise Point fireworks
When: 9pm, Dec 31
Where: The Esplanade

Southport Sharks fireworks
When: 9pm and midnight, Dec 31
Where: Corner Olsen and Musgrave Ave, Southport

New Year’s Eve in Surfers Paradise
When: 7pm to midnight, Dec 31
Where: The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise
Details: Attendees will ring in the new year with two stunning fireworks displays at this beachside bash - one at 8pm and one at midnight.
There are dozens of nearby restaurants to choose from and DJ Vice will be playing this year’s biggest hits from 7pm.
This free event is run by Gold Coast City Council.
New Year’s Eve in Broadbeach
When: 8pm to midnight, Dec 31
Where: Kurrawa Pratten Park, 167 Old Burleigh Road, Broadbeach
Details: Two fireworks displays will light up the night sky at 8pm and midnight.
Enjoy a meal at one of the many nearby restaurants.
This is a free event.
The Star Casino fireworks
When: Midnight, Dec 31
Where: 1 Casino Dr, Broadbeach
Details: Public outdoor fireworks display
Robina fireworks
When: 4pm to 9pm, Dec 31
Where: Robina Town Centre
Details: Family-friendly entertainment, rides and restaurants ready to roll from 4pm and fireworks set to illuminate Gold Coast skies at an earlier 9pm time slot.
Carnival-style rides, including a super slide, cup and saucer ride and jumping castle will keep the kids entertained alongside balloon artists, face painters and stilt walkers while a photo booth will snap the last hours of 2022.
Coolangatta New Year’s Eve fireworks
When: 9pm to midnight, Dec 31
Where: Queen Elizabeth Park, opposite 60 Marine Parade, Coolangatta
Details: Ring in 2023 with two fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight.
Have a bite to eat at nearby restaurants.
This free event is presented by Gold Coast City Council.
Street parking is limited so plan ahead.

New Year’s Eve Party in the Park

Where: Silver Bridle Park – Molendinar
Details: This event promises to be a laid-back afternoon of family fun.
Families can enjoy live music, children’s rides, bubble fun, face painting, a jumping castle, climbing wall and more at this free party.
New Year’s Eve 80s Party
When: From 7pm, Dec 31
Where: Paradise Point Bowls Club
Details: Dust off your parachute pants and grow out a mullet.
Step back in time to 1989, featuring live entertainment from Runes, bar/bistro specials and prizes for the best dressed.
NYE at Nineteen at The Star
When: From 8pm, Dec 31
Where: The Star Gold Coast
Details: Tickets cost $180 to $220 and include a five-course set menu.

A children’s disco will kick off from 6pm and kids eat free with every main meal purchased from 5.30pm.
