Police have charged two teenagers over an alleged bashing in Surfers Paradise which left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said officers were called to Trickett St on September 14 where a 25-year-old Varsity Lakes man had sustained significant facial injuries.
It’s alleged the man was approached by two males shortly before 11.30pm and assaulted before the attackers left scene prior to police arriving.
The victim was rushed to Gold Coast University, and according to the QPS spokesman, he underwent surgery for injuries.
Following the alleged assault, Detectives from Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch released CCTV footage of two males who were wanted for questioning.
Police have since charged two teenagers from Edens Landing, near Logan, with one count each of grievous bodily harm.
A 17-year-old boy is due to appear at Southport Childrens Court on November 27, while an 18-year-old man will face Southport Magistrates Court on January 21.
