TransLink flags major rail delays on Gold Coast after emergency services called to Robina Train Station on Wednesday morning

Gold Coast trains have been suspended between Nerang and Varsity Lakes due to an “incident” at Robina Train Station requiring emergency services.
Gold Coast police, Queensland Ambulance and Queensland Fire and Emergency services were called to the Bayberry Lane station shortly after the emergency about 10.45am on Wednesday.
A TransLink spokesman confirmed there would be significant delays for commuters.
Further, a statement read: “Gold Coast line trains are suspended between Nerang and Varsity Lakes stations due to an incident requiring emergency services”.
You can expect delays of up to 60 minutes,” the statement read.
“Emergency services are on site.”
However, rail buses have been deployed by TransLink “to get you moving as soon as possible”.

Delays easing, lanes re-open after M1 motorcycle crash
February 12: Weekend commuters were faced with major traffic issues earlier today after a motorcyclist and vehicle collided on the M1, forcing the closure of multiple lanes for more than an hour.
Emergency crews were called to reports of a two-vehicle incident southbound on the M1 at Beenleigh, between Exit 34 and 35, just before 10.45am Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said critical care paramedics assessed a male patient, understood to be the motorcyclist, at the scene for significant chest and pelvic injuries.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is the second serious crash involving a motorcyclist on the M1 in little more than a week, another man tragically killed when he lost control and crashed into a guardrail.
Two lanes of traffic were closed for more than an hour, resulting in delays of up to 50 minutes, according to Queensland Police.
All lanes have reopened to traffic.
Teen hurt in ‘jetski incident’ in waters off Coast
February 12: A teenager has been rushed to hospital after suffering a nasty fall from his jetski in waters off the Gold Coast.
Paramedics were called to Muriel Henchman Dr at Main Beach about 7.30am Saturday morning in response to a ‘jetski incident’.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a male patient, aged in his late teens, was assessed at the scene for facial injuries.
She said the young man had “come off” the jetski and no other vehicles were involved.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Vehicle hits pole in heart of Glitter Strip, man in hospital
February 12: Paramedics have kept busy overnight with a spate of traffic crashes on the Gold Coast, with three people in total taken to hospital.
Emergency crews, including a QAS high acuity response unit, were called to a two-vehicle incident at Rifle Range Rd, Pimpama just before 1am Saturday.
Two men, aged in their 30s, were assessed at the scene – one for chest and the other for abrasions.
They were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a man in his 20s was treated for minor injuries after his vehicle collided with a bollard in the heart of Surfers Paradise this morning.
Paramedics and police were called to the scene along Cavill Ave – street usually teeming with tourists – just after 5.30am Saturday.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
