Thieves have smashed into a Gold Coast pharmacy in the early hours of the morning in a second attack on the business in just over 24 hours.
The Amcal Pharmacy at Ormeau was broken into at about 1.30am on Friday.
“The front glass doors to the Eggersdorf Road premises was smashed and entry gained,” a Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said in a statement.
“A quantity of medication was stolen before the offenders fled through the point of entry.”
About 2.50am the previous morning an offender smashed a glass window at the business and gained entry before taking several boxes of medication.
The QPS spokesman said that person was last seen walking away from the premises in a south-westerly direction towards Zupp Dr.
A crime scene has been established at the pharmacy as police investigate both break and enters.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or has dashcam in the area around the time is urged to contact police.
