Police have refused to detail the reasons for the seizure of luxury cars including a Porsche and Lamborghini from a Gold Coast mansion linked to the Omeros restaurant dynasty.
The Bulletin has repeatedly requested more information from Queensland Police Service about the seizures of the vehicles on Monday morning.
Authorities confiscated the cars from the prestige home on Knightsbridge Parade, Sovereign Islands at 8am Monday.
A search of property records revealed Nick Omeros as the owner.
While police confirmed the seizures, no further details have been provided due to “operational reasons”.
When the Bulletin attempted to question Nick Omeros about the raid, he said he “knew nothing about it”.
Nick Omeros is one of the founders of the famous Omeros Bros Seafood Restaurant at Marina Mirage.
His son Harry, a former restaurateur, went bankrupt in 2019 over failing to pay $5.2 million to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
The Sovereign Islands address was previously registered for companies of which Harry Omeros, 34, was a listed director.
