A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition after an alleged domestic violence assault in Burleigh Heads.
The 53-year-old was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital following the incident at Second Ave around 6pm Sunday.
Paramedics treated the man for a number of puncture wounds.
Police said the 53-year-old was allegedly attacked by a woman known to him and it was being treated as a domestic violence incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
