A man has died in hospital following a fall from a scooter on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night.

A man has died in hospital following a fall from a scooter on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night.

Emergency services rushed to Robert Street in Labrador at about 8.50 pm following reports of a crash involving a push scooter.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said critical care and high acuity response paramedics performed CPR on the man before he was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The street was closed for several hours overnight as the forensic unit took photos and collected evidence.

The 68-year-old man died in Gold Coast University Hospital on Friday.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information or relevant CCTV and dashcam footage to contact police.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
