Emergency service worked to extinguish a fire on the northern Gold Coast which broke out in bushland along the M1.
Police closed two lanes northbound near the Helensvale on-ramp as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, which starteded in the centre median strip.
Multiple calls were received to triple-0.
The large plume of smoke was seen for several kilometres.
