Two people have been charged with grievous bodily harm after allegedly assaulting an elderly man and woman on the Gold Coast.

Two people have been charged with grievous bodily harm after allegedly assaulting an elderly man and woman on the Gold Coast.
Police allege Joshua Illarietti and Tegan Don approached the older pair, both aged in their 70s, while they were in their vehicle on Discovery Drive, Helensvale at about 7pm on May 28.
The younger duo, both 32, allegedly assaulted the older man and woman before fleeing the scene.
The 74-year-old man was transported to Robina Hospital at the time.
Mr Illarietti and Ms Don were arrested on Thursday after weeks of police investigations.
The Surfers Paradise man was charged with grievous bodily harm, serious assault of a person over 60, and commit public nuisance.
Ms Don, also of Surfers Paradise, faces one charge each of grievous bodily harm, attempted enter premises and commit indictable offence, and commit public nuisance.
The co-accused were both refused bail and were due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
