A Gold Coast influencer has shared the shocking moment she thought she was dead after allegedly getting “king hit” in Surfers Paradise, stating she is never going back to the party strip again.
A Gold Coast police spokesman said they were called to the alleged assault, which occurred between 7.20pm and 8.20pm on Sunday along Elkhorn Ave in Surfers Paradise.
The spokesman said it was understood a “physical” altercation occurred between a man and two women.
These included a 42-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman.
Gold Coast influencer Millie Hannah, 23, said she was walking from Cali Beach Club to a Subway sandwich shop when she was allegedly assaulted.
Ms Hannah posted a video to her 82,000 followers on TikTok while she was laying on a hospital bed with a neck brace.
“A (man) king hit me in Surfers Paradise tonight,” she said.
“I genuinely thought I was dead.”
Ms Hannah alleged she had approached the man after he had been “yelling” at her friend.
“I remember walking up to stand next to my friend and then he must have hit me,” she said.
“I don’t remember much as I was pretty severely concussed.
“All I remember is looking up and seeing the rain and being like ‘this is it, I’m dead’.
“I hit the back of my head on the concrete.”
Ms Hannah alleged her friend was also assaulted and had split her elbow and was left with a bloody nose and a concussion.
Ms Hannah said she was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital and was “in and out of consciousness for up to two hours”.
She stayed in hospital overnight and had an MRI scan to determine if she had a brain bleed.
Ms Hannah said despite Surfers Paradise being her go-to clubbing spot over the past five years, she “won’t ever be clubbing in Surfers again”.
“It’s so serious,” she said.
“We could have died.”
Investigations are ongoing.
