A Gold Coast paramedic and competitive bodybuilder has been charged with possessing a swag of drugs including steroids and cocaine.
Marlette Le Feuvre, 31, appeared in Southport Magistrates Court for the first time on Tuesday.
She is charged with six counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one each of buying or possessing hazardous medicines or poisons, failing to properly dispose of a needle or syringe, and possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.
Court documents allege Ms Le Feuvre was in possession of cocaine, MDMA, steroids and other substances – including adrenaline and stimulant Clenbuterol – on dates between September 14 and October 5.
The Maudsland woman was dressed casually in a grey jumper and pants when she appeared in court beside defence lawyer Jamiee-Lee Jessop on Tuesday morning.
The court was told they needed a drug analysis certificate for the cocaine-related charge.
Ms Le Feuvre will remain on bail, with her case to return to court on November 7.
The paramedic boasts more than 23,000 followers on her Instagram account, which is largely devoted to documenting her rise to bodybuilding success.
Ms Le Feuvre shows off her numerous medal-winning efforts – including gold in categories at this year’s International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness state championships in Queensland and Victoria – along with photo shoots and snippets of her life on the Gold Coast.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson did not confirm whether Ms Le Feuvre had or would be suspended while facing the charges.
“Following the court appearance today, QAS management will meet with the officer to determine the most appropriate action whilst the matter is under investigation and now before the court,” the spokesperson said.
