Dr Jane Wehipeihana named best doctor on the Gold Coast

The owner of two popular medical practices has been named the Gold Coast’s favourite doctor.
Medical on Robina and Medical on Burleigh owner Dr Jane Wehipeihana, 47, said the title — voted by Bulletin readers — was testament to the culture her team had built at the two clinics.
Dr Wehipeihana and her best friend Heather McLellan-Johnson opened the Burleigh location in April 2022 to create a space where “people, doctors, allied health and our team have exceptional places to work in”.
Just over a year after the first opening, they joined forces again on a Robina practice, which included a pharmacy and a pathology clinic.
“These are pretty large practices with incredible peers and teams,” she said.
Dr Wehipeihana said she didn’t have immediate plans to expand her medical empire, but instead wanted to “continue working on having great culture”.
She said it had been an “absolute privilege to serve the community” for the past 20 years as a general practitioner.
“I’m so stoked,” she said.
Dr Stevie Bray from Mermaid Junction Medical Centre was a close runner-up in the Best of the Gold Coast competition, followed by Dr Neena Singh from Benowa Family Medical Practice.
Dr Paul Fisser from Mermaid Central Medical Centre was fourth, while Dr Christian Allen from Mermaid Central Medical Centre rounded out the top five.
