A teenager is being treated for “serious” back injuries after falling 20m into a creek on the Southern Gold Coast on Sunday.
Paramedics were called to the incident on Tallebudgera Creek Rd at Tallebudgera Valley at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon, after reports a man had fallen 20m into a creek.
The man was at the Cream Track at Tallebudgera Valley, reportedly near a waterfall.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the main sustained serious back injuries in the fall, but that they were non life-threatening.
The rescue took several hours, with three crews having to work to safely extricate the man through the difficult terrain.
The teenager was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
