A THREE-vehicle crash involving a truck has forced the closure of two lanes on the Pacific Motorway, adding to a nightmare commute for public holiday crowds.
Emergency services were called to the scene southbound along the M1 at Helensvale just before 4pm Wednesday.
Paramedics assessed three patients at the scene.
Two people travelling in the same vehicle sustained minor chest injuries but did not require further treatment.
A third patient was taken to hospital in a stable condition though their injuries are unknown.
Motorists were told to expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
The scene has since been cleared.
Earlier, emergency crews attended a single-vehicle rollover involving a caravan on the M1 that caused major delays through Yatala.
‘Traffic nightmare’ after 4WD towing caravan rolls on M1

MOTORISTS travelling north on the Pacific Motorway been warned to expect a “traffic nightmare” after a four-wheel drive towing a caravan rolled at Yatala.
Queensland Police was alerted to the chaotic crash near exit 38 on the M1 northbound just before 11.30am on Wednesday, a spokeswoman said.
She said off-duty paramedics attended the crash and assessed the woman driving the 4WD, who was not physically injured in the rollover.
Motorists were warned one northbound lane was closed as of 12.35pm and it would likely remain closed for some time, with police predicting “major delays”.
Officers have been conducting traffic control.
Motorists should be particularly cautious and avoid the area if possible.
Queensland Ambulance said in a statement one patient was assessed following the single-vehicle rollover, but hospitalisation was not required.
Horses killed, man and woman injured in hinterland crash
January 25: A car has crashed into two horses on the Gold Coast, leaving two people injured and the animals dead.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were called to Plunkett Rd at Cedar Creek after the harrowing incident about 9.25pm on Monday.
A man and a woman, of an undisclosed age, were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. The ambulance service was not able to immediately detail their injuries.
The horses did not survive the ordeal, a QAS spokesman confirmed.
Paramedics were also called to a single-vehicle crash on Kopps Rd at Oxenford just after 1am on Tuesday.
A man aged in his 20s was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
Several hours later, about 4am, paramedics attended after a “bicycle incident” on Surf Parade at Surfers Paradise.
A man, of an undisclosed age, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, suffering from a “minor head laceration”, according to a statement.
Elderly lady among injured in Gold Coast crash
January 18:Three people were assessed by paramedics following a two-vehicle crash at Helensvale on Tuesday morning.
The crash on Millaroo Dr occurred at 9.47am.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said one of the three being assessed was an elderly lady in her 80s.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said officers are on the scene but no lanes have been blocked in the area.
Multiple house fires across Coast overnight
January 18: Six people were assessed by paramedics following a garage fire in Pacific Pines on Tuesday morning.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services firefighters confirmed the fire started in the garage and was out by the time they arrived just before 4.40am.
Six people were assessed at the scene, with only one needing further treatment for smoke inhalation.
It follows a similar kitchen fire in Parkwood on Napper Road at 12.34am.
Three people were taken in stable condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.
