An elderly man had a lucky escape after the car he was driving crashed into the front of a Gold Coast home.
Multiple paramedic crews rushed to an address in West St, Burleigh Heads, about 9.40am Wednesday following reports a car had collided with a building.
A man in his 80s was assessed at the scene for a head injury and reported chest injuries.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A social media user noted there had been “a lot of cars crashing into houses lately”, while another person commented “another one”.
The crash follows a string of similar incidents on the Gold Coast in just a matter of days.
On Monday, a car crashed through a brick wall of a Labrador home about 11pm.
The occupants reportedly fled the scene.
Last Friday, a driver has crashed his car through a fence and into a swimming pool at Bundall – while he was naked.
The 27-year-old Southport man behind the wheel was not injured in the crash, but was pulled from the vehicle by witnesses, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.
