Tributes are flowing for a Gold Coast woman who passed away after years of battling cancer, with her daughter saying she had “such a passion for life”.

Burleigh Heads’ Paris (Jackie) Worrall, 62, died on August 26 after years of battling multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer which can damage the bones, immune system, kidneys and red blood cell count.

Paris’s daughter Stevie Worrall, 33 of Logan Reserve, said she “passed away in what we can only assume to be a pain-free sleep with family and friends around her”.

“She was in and out of hospital and she had weak bones from it and had lots of fractures, had an infection, then had a fall in hospital about a month ago,” she said.

She said her mother was her person and best friend forever.

“She was sunshine,” she said.

“My sun and happiness.

“We were very close. She was my person who I would talk to about everything. Now I don’t have that person. My go to person for everything is gone.”

She described her mum as someone who had “genuine warmth” and “love for all”.

“Never have I met or known anyone with such a passion for life and wanting to make everyone happy by just being herself”,” she said.

Ms Worrall said her mum’s life in Burleigh Heads was filled with some of her favourite activities like sitting in the sun and greeting people who walked by.

“She never judged a soul and treated everyone with love, respect and dignity,” she said.

“You couldn’t walk with her without running into someone she knew along the way and Mum was always so keen to chat.”

Ms Worrall said her mum forged many lifelong friendships with her “infectious personality”.

“I know she is in heaven smiling down and wanting us to live our lives to the fullest.”

Ms Worrall has created a GoFundMe to help her and her brother, Jackson Worrall, pay for the funeral.

She said Paris had tried to put money away for but it had ended up using it to pay for her treatment.

“I want to celebrate her,” Ms Worrall said.

“I want to show her how much we cared about her but I need help to do this.

“If we can raise enough money for my brother and I, we can give Mum the send off she deserves from everyone.

“One of the rules Mum said was that we all would need to wear red lipstick.”

$4230 of the $7500 goal has been raised within three days of the GoFundMe being live.

Loved ones also took to social media to share their condolences for Mrs Worrall.

“May she fly high that beautiful mother of yours and friends with so many,” Robyn Rigby said.

“Have never met anyone like her...loved her so much.”

“Stevie and Jackson so sorry for your loss...your beautiful mum was a very special person so many of us loved her company,” Jude Wilkin said.

Bronia Morgan said it was heartbreaking news.

“Didn’t know your darling mother for very long, but what a genuine, loving and courageous woman she was,” she said.

“I feel very privileged to have met her on our trip of a lifetime.

“She was a very special lady, may she now rest in peace forever more.”

“My heart breaks for you all,” Danielle Louise said.

“She was an absolute fighter and will be forever remembered that way. I’m grateful to have known her.”

“She was such an incredibly strong and brave woman. She never stopped fighting,” Renae Harper said.
