A man has been taken to hospital and another has been arrested after an alleged assault on the nightclub strip in Surfers Paradise.

A man has been taken to hospital and another has been arrested after an alleged assault on the nightclub strip in Surfers Paradise.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Orchid Ave in Surfers Paradise around 1.15am on Friday.
A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said officers found a man with a head injury.
Paramedics assessed the 26-year-old and took him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
They arrested a 30-year-old at the scene.
“No complaint has been received at this time however police investigations are ongoing,” the police spokeswoman said.
