Cbus Super Stadium will be the place to be this Easter Sunday with a range of family activities set to be held ahead of the Gold Coast Titans clash with the Canberra Raiders.
Gates open at 12pm with free carnival rides, a Titans-themed scavenger hunt, face painting, player meet and greets and even a visit from the Easter Bunny all set to create a fun family environment for the contest.
Titans winger Jojo Fifita was eager to return to the field after missing the last two games through injury.
“I am feeling confident, I’ve been out for a couple weeks and just trying to overcome a little injury but it’s all good now and I’m feeling ready,” he said.
“It was definitely hard watching from home last week, just seeing the results, but just gives me more energy and more motivation to just go out there and give the team my best performance I can give.”
With a tough clash against an in-form Raiders, Fifita revealed how important it is to start strongly and use the home crowd advantage.
“The crowd does play an important role, especially in the home games, I think starting strong, getting the whole crowd with us is definitely going to be a big part of us,” he said.
“We usually use that energy to push us in hard times and I reckon that’s what we need this week, it’s going to be a tough game.”
It has been a mixed start to the year for the Titans with two wins from five and Fifita revealed what the major focus is ahead of Sunday’s clash.
“I reckon defence is definitely the main thing, we’re going to have to work on our energy, our bounce, just our tackles and all those little details to make sure we can control the Raiders the way we want to,” he said.
“Our energy needs to be a lot higher than it has been, the first couple games of the year we’ve been pretty good with our energy but we’ve lacked off slowly in the last couple of games.
“So I reckon if we start the game strong and just continue our energy the whole game we will get the result.”
