A woman has been arrested after fire ripped through a Corio home on Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a property on Goldsworthy Rd about 1am after reports of a house fire and found the home well alight.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Leading Senior Constable Jody Clayton said a 24-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and was assisting police with their enquiries.
“The fire caused moderate damage to the premises,” she said.
“There was no one inside the premises at the time.”
As of 9am, the driveway had been taped off and police remained at the scene.
The fire caused a front window to break with smashed glass and a fly screen lying on the ground outside.
Burnt insultation and plaster boards could be seen inside the home.
The scene was located near Goldsworthy Reserve and Corio Village shopping centre.
