A man has been charged after police allegedly found a firearm inside a car which crashed in Curlewis on Wednesday morning.
Police allege a vehicle crashed into a barrier on Portarlington Rd about 9am.
Officers searched the car and allegedly found a firearm in the back of the vehicle.
A 28-year-old Torquay man has been charged with a string of offences including possessing a firearm and ammunition and handling stolen goods.
He was remanded to appear at the Geelong Magistrates Court on Thursday.
A 26-year-old Geelong woman was released pending further inquiries.
