A man has been charged after he allegedly rammed a police car and attempted to steal another vehicle in Geelong on Tuesday.

A man has been charged after he allegedly rammed a police car and attempted to steal another vehicle in Geelong on Tuesday.
Officers allege a man rammed a black Volkswagen Golf into a police vehicle on Mackey St in North Geelong about 7.30am before fleeing the scene.
The police vehicle sustained minor damage and the officers were not injured.
Police then found the man in Geelong’s CBD about 3pm but he allegedly ran from officers.
The man then allegedly attempted to get into another vehicle on Gheringhap St, where he was arrested by police.
The 29-year-old man from St Albans Park was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He has been charged with a string of offences including recklessly exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving, theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage and possessing a prohibited weapon.
He will front the Geelong Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
