A motorbike rider is fighting for life after a smash in Lara on Thursday night.

A motorbike rider is fighting for life after a smash in Lara on Thursday night.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Caitlin Knight said a male rider was travelling along Forest Rd when he collided with a vehicle about 7.30pm.
The 49-year-old Lara man sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman confirmed the man had suffered upper and lower body injuries.
“The other driver, a 20-year-old Lara man, was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries,” Ms Knight said.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the smash and the exact circumstances are yet to be determined.
