Man charged, teen arrested over alleged train station assault on disabled woman
An Anakie man is one of two people arrested following the alleged assault of disabled woman at train station that was filmed.
An Anakie man and teenage girl have been arrested following an alleged assault of a disabled woman at a train station.
Investigators were told a 34-year-old woman with a disability was assaulted at Laverton Railway Station and then abused by a teenage girl in a lift about 4pm on October 17.
Officers from the Geelong Crime Reduction Team arrested an 18-year-old woman from Point Cook on November 10.
She was interviewed in relation to the incident and released pending summons.
An Anakie man was arrested and interviewed by Geelong police on November 27.
The 20-year-old was charged with aid and abet another to commit an indictable offence.
He was bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court in February.
It is alleged the incident was filmed.
