Geelong police make several arrests after dangerous night on roads
A driver is on the run after dangerously evading police on Saturday morning amid a spate of arrests on Geelong roads.

A man driving dangerously is on the run after evading police in North Geelong on Saturday morning.
Officers alleged a VW did a U-turn at speed after being directed to stop travelling south on Melbourne Rd.
The car was clocked doing 86km/h in a 70km/h zone, according to Geelong police.
One witness described the driving as “disgraceful” with a police chase eventually abandoned due to concerns for community safety.
It’s understood the male driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was last seen heading towards Norlane.
He is wanted for speeding, failing to stop, displaying a plate not issued to the vehicle and endangering life.
It comes after a 21-year-old man was arrested in North Geelong after being intercepted for speeding at 1.10am.
Police alleged a Ford Falcon was doing 85km/h in a 70km/h zone on Separation St.
The driver, from Bacchus Marsh, had a suspended license and was driving an unregistered car with false plates and a sports steering wheel fitted without an airbag.
The car was impounded and the driver was charged with speeding, driving while suspended,
displaying a false plate and driving a dangerous vehicle.
Another 23-year-old man, from Waurn Ponds, was also charged after allegedly travelling at 166km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Geelong Ring Road.
