Footage emerges of wild street fights on Robin Ave, Norlane

Wild footage has emerged of separate street fights in Norlane that have amassed hundreds of thousands of views.

Footage has emerged of fists being thrown in separate street fights in Norlane.

The altercations both involve men squaring up in broad daylight with one breaking out in front of a popular fish and chip shop.

In that incident, allegedly filmed on Robin Ave, the men can be seen swinging wildly at each other while one screams “you f***ing coward” before calling the man a “f***ing handbagger” and “f***ing goose”.

A caption reading “Norlane’s most upstanding citizens” accompanies the social media footage that has been viewed more than 250,000 times.

In another scrap, allegedly on the same Norlane street, a man in socks can be seen being chased by another on a bike.

He attempts to enter a yard before repeatedly saying “f*** off dog” and “f*** off rat” before a violent confrontation.

A metal object appears to be used as a weapon in the alleged attack, with one of the men narrowly avoiding being struck in the head.

One comment on the incident, viewed more than 115,000 times, described it as ‘Norlane fight club’.

Both altercations were posted to an infamous Facebook group that appears to have come back from the dead.

Satirical page ‘Take the Piss Geelong’ has amassed tens of thousands of followers over the years.

It has being taken down on a number of occasions. 

The popular site had almost 8000 new followers on Monday.

It’s understood both Norlane fights were not reported to the police.

The latest census data, released in 2023, ranked the north Geelong suburb as the most disadvantaged area in the state, with high unemployment rates and low household income.

Victoria Police has been contacted for comment about the Norlane incidents.
