A VISIT to the doctor ended in a court date for Guy Robert Mitchell, who pleaded guilty to being a public nuisance when he appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday. On May 20, police attended the Western Downs Health Centre where staff were crying and distressed.

Mitchell had gone to make an appointment for his child and became aggressive when told there were none available. He refused to calm down, swearing at reception staff and repeatedly calling a doctor a "tool”. Mitchell told the court he "just had a bad day” and would apologise for his behaviour, admitting "it wasn't (the doctor's) fault”. He was fined $650 and his conviction was not recorded.
