Northern Territory Police said they received reports of a house fire on Ptilotus Cres in Sadadeen just before 7pm on Wednesday, September 18.

A neighbour said they believed the fire had been started by a “heater explosion”.
NT Police and NTFRS as at Thursday morning said the cause of the fire was “currently unknown” and that investigations were ongoing.
“I heard a big bang and a lady screaming – next thing I heard a fire truck coming,” the neighbour said.
She said there had been a “brand new baby” in the home, but “no one was hurt”.
On Thursday morning, Northern Territory Police, fire investigators, public housing safety, and NT Government workers attended the scene.
A crime scene was declared.
