ILL PREPARED
QUEENSLAND is grossly under prepared for the inevitable flu pandemic and when hospitals reach capacity clinicians could face the horrifying decision of who is more deserving of lifesaving ventilation or an intensive care bed. Dr Cairns is Clinical Lead for Queensland’s Statewide Strategy for care at the end of life, and was Director of the Townsville Palliative Care Service since 1992.
KEEP IT TOGETHER
QUEENSLAND great Cam Smith has warned the Broncos face being ripped apart by NRL rivals preparing big-money raids on Brisbane’s best batch of talent in 20 years.
