Young woman seriously injured in Ascot crash

A 24-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital with serious head and lower leg injuries after the car she was driving hit a tree in Ascot in Brisbane’s north.

Emergency services have raced to the scene of a serious car crash in Brisbane’s inner north after a vehicle left the road before ploughing into a tree.

Queensland Police and Ambulance services were called to Upper Lancaster Rd in Ascot just after 8pm on Wednesday following multiple reports of a car crash.

QFES worked to extricate the 24-year-old female driver from the car before she was transported by paramedics to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious head and lower leg injuries.

The vehicle’s passenger was able to free themselves unassisted.
