Woman rescued after falling down mine shaft in central Queensland
Emergency services have freed a woman after she was trapped in a mine shaft for more than three hours west of Emerald.

Emergency services have rescued a woman after she fell down a mine shaft west of Emerald in central Queensland.
Queensland Ambulance, Retrieval Services Queensland and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to the scene at 3.10pm on Saturday in Sapphire Central.

The woman was rescued more than three hours later.
A QAS spokesman said she was treated by paramedics before being flown to a Primary Health facility in a stable condition.
