A female pedestrian has been hit by a bus in Brisbane City on Thursday afternoon, leaving her in a critical condition.
Early investigations suggest that just before 3pm a bus which was travelling on Adelaide St in Brisbane’s CBD collided with a 21-year-old woman.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following multiple calls regarding the incident.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition for treatment.
The 61-year-old female bus driver was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Queensland Police closed Adelaide St between Edward St and Creek St due to the incident but it has since reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
