Two-truck smash sparks hour-long delays on Gateway Motorway
Brisbane commuters are facing massive delays after a crash involving a car-carrier shut down southbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway.

A multi-vehicle crash in north Brisbane has caused major traffic delays along the Gateway Motorway on Friday morning with commuters expected to cop more than an hour delays.
At 7:08am, emergency services were called to a two-truck collision along the Gateway Motorway just past the Sandgate Rd overpass at Boondall.
Following the collision, a car fell off the back of one of the trucks and flipped over onto the road.
Delays of up to an hour are expected southbound with all four lanes impacted by the crash.
Congestion is stretched back past North Lakes on the Bruce Highway almost two hours after the crash.
Commuters travelling southbound have taken to social media to ask about the crash, many fearful of missing flights from Brisbane airport.
One said they had moved one kilometre in an hour.
Traffic issues continued with a second collision in the area.
At 8.20am, four vehicles collided on the Deagon Deviation at Brighton.
Queensland Police Services issued a traffic alert for Brisbane commuters with motorists advised to seek alternative travel routes.
Paramedics attended but the truck drivers declined transport to hospital.
One person was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition following the second crash at Brighton.
Seven others were assessed at the scene but declined transport.
