Two-truck crash closes Pinkenba road next to Brisbane Airport

Police have closed a road near the busy Kingsford Smith Drive after a two-truck crash this morning with traffic diversions in place.

Crews have rushed to the scene of a two-truck crash, outside of Brisbane Airport on Friday morning, where the road has been closed until further notice.

Two Queensland Ambulance crews attended to treat the two drivers who collided at 7.38am at Farrar Street, Pinkenba.

“One has suffered significant leg injuries but is in a stable condition, another has suffered chest injuries,” an Ambulance spokeswoman said.

“We are still on the scene treating both of the drivers,” she said.

A police spokesman said road diversions were in place on Kingston Smith Dr into Curtin Ave East.

A Queensland Emergency spokeswoman confirmed no one was entrapped in the trucks.
