Woman dies, two others injured in separate single-vehicle crashes

A woman has died in hospital and two other people have been injured in separate single-vehicle crashes in South East Queensland.

A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash at Tingalpa on Saturday afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to Tuleen Close about 3:30pm after a Ford wagon collided with a tree.

The 55-year-old Tingalpa woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries but passed away a short time later.

The 60-year-old male driver, also from Tingalpa, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are calling on anyone with CCTV or dashcam, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to contact police.

Meanwhile, a man in his 20s is in a serious condition after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Aquarius Drv, Kingston, south of Brisbane, about 3.40pm on Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with “suspected pelvic injuries”.

Police urged local motorists to avoid Juers St, between Bellatrix Drv and Bardon Rd.
