Two women have been rushed to hospital in rescue choppers after a horror crash in the Lockyer Valley that has closed an entire roadway on Tuesday afternoon.

Two women have been rushed to hospital in rescue choppers after a horror crash in the Lockyer Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
Six people have been injured in the collision with at least two females in a serious condition.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Gatton-Laidley Rd West, Forest Hill at 3.20pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said six people are being assessed by paramedics at the scene.
“Paramedics are attending to a female in her 30s with spinal and chest injuries in a serious condition, a female in her 30s with pelvic and abdominal injuries, in a serious condition, a male in his teens with back and pelvic injuries and a male in his 40s with a spinal injury,” the spokeswoman said.
“Two people with no obvious injuries, a female in her 30s with minor injuries and a male child are still in the hands of paramedics.”
Two rescue helicopters were tasked to the scene. A woman with abdominal injuries was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, while a woman with chest injuries was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said that Gatton-Laidley Rd West had been closed.
“The road will continue to be shut for some time,” the spokeswoman said.
“Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.”
