Motorists travelling on a major highway towards Brisbane are advised to expect long delays up to 90 minutes after a four-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to the Pacific Motorway at Loganholme after a crash that involved at least a truck around 1.20pm.

Two northbound lanes were closed following the crash, causing traffic to be backed up to Ormeau on the Gold Coast.

Motorists were advised to seek alternative route and expect delays up to 90 minutes.

The connecting Stanmore Road at Yatala is also experienced congestion which causes a 30-minute delay.

Paramedics treated two patients — one with neck injuries and another with abdominal injuries — and transported them in a stable condition to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital.

More to come.
