Traffic chaos, one hour-plus delays after Gateway truck rollover
Motorists faced delays of more than an hour on Tuesday afternoon after a truck rollover forced the closure of all southbound lanes on the Gateway Motorway.

The Bruce Motorway resembled a parking lot from North Lakes to the Pine River Bridge on Tuesday afternoon after a truck rollover brought traffic to a standstill.
Southbound motorists on the Bruce Highway faced delays over an hour long after the rollover under the Wymapa Rd Overpass forced all southbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway to be closed, with a diversion to Gympie Arterial Rd.
While southbound motorists were the hardest hit with an extra hour and 40 minutes added to their drive at 2:20pm, northbound drivers on the Gateway also met delays from Boondall to Bald Hills with 20 minute delays.
QAS said one stable patient was driven to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital following the rollover just after midday.
Police advised drivers to avoid the area or expect long delays as the southbound lanes along the Gateway Motorway were expected to be closed for some time.
The lanes were finally reopened about 5.45pm
