Heavy fog across Toowoomba has been blamed for a crash that saw two men taken to hospital.

Two men have been hospitalised after the car they were in crashed into a tree in Toowoomba’s southern suburbs, with heavy fog potentially to blame.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Hume and Alderley streets in Kearneys Spring on Monday about 7.30pm, with ambulance and fire crews attending.

Paramedics treated the two men for seatbelt related injuries and they were taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

QFES crews noted there was poor visibility in the area due to heavy fog.

Man with ‘significant’ injuries after dirt bike crash

A man has been rushed to hospital with “significant” injuries after his dirt bike crashed on a private property outside Charleville in Queensland’s southwest.

The incident at Langlo was reported to emergency services on Monday night about 8pm.

The man in his 40s suffered head, abdominal and leg injuries and was taken to Charleville Hospital in a stable condition.

Highway truck rollover leaves man in hospital

A male truck driver has suffered injuries when his vehicle rolled over on a highway south of Dalby on Monday night.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the Moonie Highway at Moonie just before 7pm.

The driver in his 50s was taken to Tara Hospital in a stable condition, suffering chest injuries.

Driver escapes injury after truck catches fire

A driver has walked away uninjured after his truck caught fire along a highway in the Maranoa region early on Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported just after midnight on the Carnarvon Highway at Wellesley, just south of Surat.

The man was assessed by paramedics but did not need to be taken to hospital.
