Toowoomba Bypass closed following truck fire

The Toowoomba Bypass remains closed in both directions after a truck fire.

The Toowoomba Bypass remains closed in both directions through Mount Kynoch following a truck fire overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Cranley just after 9pm on Wednesday.

Five fire crews attended the scene, including a senior officer, to douse the blaze alongside ambulance and police.

The cause of the fire is still unknown but QFES remain on the scene removing product from the truck’s trailer.

As of 7am on Thursday both eastbound and westbound lanes remain closed, with traffic being diverted through the Toowoomba Range.
