Three-year-old airlifted to hospital after being hit by vehicle at Gatton
A three-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after being struck by a vehicle, just hours after a two-year-old was killed on a property.
A three-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on a suburban street in the Lockyer Valley.
The boy was hit just after 4pm Thursday on Feldhahn St, Gatton, 40km east of Toowoomba.
He suffered severe facial injuries and significant breathing difficulties following the accident, and was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital by helicopter in a serious condition.
Police remained at the scene but a spokeswoman said a crime scene had not been established.
Just three hours earlier a two-year-old boy in north Queensland was killed after he was accidentally hit by a car on a rural property near Townsville.
