Tributes are flowing for 16-year-old Gage Fowler who tragically passed away after a horrific quad bike accident at a private property near Toowoomba.
Paramedics assessed Gage on scene in a critical condition after the ATV rollover on a private property at Darling Heights about 1.22am.
The Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene and police are preparing a report for the coroner.
Gage’s friends took to Instagram to express their sadness.
“Til we meet again bro, a gift to us all,” one wrote.
“Forever in our hearts,” another said.
“Always gonna be thinking of you my bro. Rest easy,” another friend said.
Friend Gus Clews set up a Go Fund Me in the hours after Gage’s death to try and help his family.
The Go Fund Me fundraiser racked up more than 80 donations in its first few hours, raising more than $2000 of the $10,000 target.
“Setting up this page on behalf of Gage’s immediate family to help during this difficult time,” Mr Clews wrote.
“Such a genuine young friend and mate. Would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. So close to so many people and wears his heart on his sleeve.
“You will be missed my friend.”
Gage has also been remembered as a talented volleyball player.
In a separate incident on Sunday, a woman was also injured in a quad motorcycle rollover on Moreton Island.
The woman was taken to Caboolture Hospital with an arm injury after the incident on Nautilus Drive about 11am.
